Active throughout my life, I began practicing yoga a dozen years ago in response to an injury that triggered sciatica, the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced. I realized then that while I was fit aerobically and physically strong, my body was out of balance. I loved the experience of yoga so much I was inspired to teach, and received RYT 200 training in 2011 through James Miller Yoga in Iowa City. I approach yoga as a moving meditation, and seek to create this experience for students. I also believe yoga can be a joyful experience of movement, playful even, for the purpose of balancing strength and flexibility, in a form that is accessible throughout life.
YOGA G classes:
Yoga G classes are all-level flow beginning with centering and warm-up, and sequenced to open up all joint mobility's, ending with a gong bath relaxation that just has to be experienced.
