I found yoga through a college dance class - our professor was trained in anatomy and had a passion for yoga, and would incorporate asana and anatomy into our regular ballet and modern classes. That same semester I sporadically started doing yoga practices I found online.
Eventually I learned about pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques, which I began to incorporate at the end of my yoga practice.
After a few years of off and on practice, I realized I wanted to learn even more about all things yoga and signed up for a Yoga Teacher Training program to really expand my knowledge and personal practice.
I graduated from this program in 2017 with my 200-hr certification from Brett Larkin’s Uplifted Yoga Teacher Training.
After my training, I wanted to share everything I had learned with anyone who would listen - mostly friends and family at the time! Eventually I started teaching the employees of a local business here in the Cedar Valley. I loved guiding them through their yoga practice and will be forever grateful for their presence as I started my yoga teaching journey with them!
In my personal practice, I love experiencing many different styles of yoga asana, but my favorites are hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative! I love how my mood and energy can flip with a single yoga session. I am a strong believer that we have to fill our own cup before we can help others, and I personally do that through yoga and meditation (as well as journaling!).
I also believe that yoga is not just a physical practice, but a way to uncover our truest selves and the connection of the mind, body, and spirit.
I am so excited to be teaching here at the State Street Yoga Co-op! I can’t wait to help guide you through your own yoga journey!

Tuesdays 7-8pm & Wednesday 5:30~6:15pm
This yoga flow is an all-levels class that will both strengthen and stretch the body! We will start by tuning into the breath, then gently warming up the body by connecting breath with movement. We will continue to flow through a yoga asana sequence, building heat as we go, and ending with a final cool-down and savasana.
Drop in: $10 regular/ $5 student
4-class pass: $34 regular/ $19 student
8-class pass: $64 regular/ $36 student
